Effect of a Planned Teaching Programme (PTP) on Knowledge Regarding Identification and Management of Cardiac Arrhythmias Among Staff Nurses Working in a Selected Hospital at Kerala

Cardiac arrhythmias are cardiac rhythm disorders that comprise an important epidemiological and public health problem. Objectives: The objectives of the study were to evaluate effect a Planned Teaching Programme on knowledge regarding identification management Arrhythmias among staff nurses find association between pretest level selected sociodemographic variables. Methodology: A quantitative research approach was used with quasi experimental design (one group posttest design). sample consists 40 nurses, conveniently. Data collected using tools - socio-demographic data structured questionnaire. Pretest conducted day 1. given for 45 minutes same day. Posttest 14. Results: paired ‘t’ test showed calculated value (12.37) greater than table (3.55) which significant at P < 0.001. There variable area working nurses. Conclusion: is highly effective in improving arrhythmias.
